Yay first comment. Loved this book so very much. Edward and Bella relationship kept me drawn and i couldn’t stop reading this book.
I had read this book prior to joining book club. I felt that it was a good read, but it is not among my favorite books. There is just a lack of believability - or perhaps it is merely that I cannot relate to the story. But I have read many believable stories about vampires and such before… I think of Bella as what I’ve heard before called a “Mary Sue”. I fail to see what she has done significant in this book except for have the right blood type to get Edward’s interest, and throw fits about things.
So yes, pleasant read, but I like deeper, more complex story lines.
I like Stephanie Meyer, this book is the relationship between Edwards and Bella is really interesting and I like it, but to me they’re something missing. Maybe if I read the other book by her I might get more of a feel for her writing style.
